SEARCY – Former Harding University wide receiver Jordan Watson had two receptions for 17 yards in his debut for the Canadian Football League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Hamilton lost the exhibition game 31-12 to the Toronto Argonauts in a game played at the Rogers Centre, formerly known as SkyDome.
It was the first of two exhibition games for the Tiger-Cats. Hamilton plays at home Thursday against the Montreal Alouettes.
Watson, a native of Pensacola, Fla., was listed in the team's pre-game notes as the second-team slot back. He was listed behind Marcus Thomas, a second-year player out of Indiana University.
The Tiger-Cats still have several rounds of cuts to make before opening the regular season at home against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on July 1.
Watson had 131 receptions for 2,019 yards and 18 touchdowns while playing for Harding from 2007-10.
