Lady Bison Basketball Travels to East Central on Thursday

Game Notes

SEARCY - The Harding women's basketball team looks for their second straight conference win on Thursday as they travel to Ada, Okla., to face East Central at 5:30 p.m., in Great American Conference action. The Lady Bisons head into the game with an 8-3 overall record and 1-0 GAC record.

Harding is 6-1 in their last seven games. Their only loss came against Texas Woman's at the West Florida Classic in Pensacola, Fla., on Dec. 30th.

Thursday's game is the first of three road games for the Lady Bisons. On Saturday, the Lady Bisons will travel to Weatherford, Okla., to face Southwestern Oklahoma State at 2 p.m. Next Thursday, Harding will travel to Arkadelphia, Ark., to face Ouachita Baptist at 5:30 p.m.

 Harding is led by senior guard Sierra Rollins, a native of Angleton, Texas, who averages 15.5 points (third in the GAC) and 9.5 rebounds (first in the GAC).

East Central heads into the game with a 2-10 overall record and a 0-2 GAC record. The Lady Tigers two conference losses came against Ouachita Baptist (91-79) and Henderson State (96-77). ECU is led by Lindsay McCown who averages 13.5 points and 6.3 rebounds.

East Central leads the series between the two teams 4-2. In Ada, ECU leads 3-0. The Lady Bisons have scored over 90 points in each win against the Lady Tigers. HU won 93-75 in the first meeting between the two teams in 1998 and then won 95-82 in Searcy in 1999 (last win against ECU).
