Lady Bison Basketball Travels to OBU on Thursday

Game Notes

SEARCY – The Harding women's basketball team travels to Arkadelphia, Ark., to face Ouachita Baptist on Thursday in Great American Conference action. It's the third of a three game road stint for the Lady Bisons.

Harding heads into the contest with a 9-4 overall record and a 2-1 GAC record after a 66-61 loss at Southwestern Oklahoma State last Saturday.

The Lady Bisons are led by senior guard Sierra Rollins who averages 15.5 points (third in the GAC) and 9.4 rebounds per game (first in the GAC).

Harding ranks first in the GAC in scoring defense (56.6). HU is second in the conference in five categories – free throw percentage (73.5), field goal percentage defense (35.9), three point field goals made (6.2), rebounding margin (+6.8) and blocked shots (3.6).

Ouachita Baptist heads into the game with a 9-5 overall record and 2-2 record in the GAC. OBU lost their last conference game on Saturday to Southeastern Oklahoma State 61-55 on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers are led by A'Laeshia Adams who averages 13.1 points (eighth in the GAC). Beulah Osueke leads OBU on the boards, averaging 6.3 rebounds per game.

The game on Thursday will be the 58th meeting between the two teams. Harding leads the series 32-25. The Lady Bisons also lead the series in Arkadelphia, 14-13. Ouachita Baptist has won the last two meetings. The last HU win was came in 2010. The Lady Bisons won 70-60.
