CONWAY, Ark. – Harding men's tennis cruised to a 9-0 victory over Hendrix on Tuesday in its first match of the 2013 spring season.
Freshman Matheus Mosquera-Carrascosa made his debut for Harding at No. 1 doubles, teaming with sophomore Caleb McReynolds in an 8-5 victory over Bob Berardi and Robert Sheets.
Harding's Adam Edwards and Helio Hashimoto won 8-4 at No. 2, and Felipe Carbonari and Alex Ford won 8-0 at No. 3. Both duos were playing together for the first time this season.
The Bisons blanked the Warriors in straight sets in singles. Ford won 6-2, 6-0 in his first match at No. 1 singles this season. Hashimoto won at No. 2 to improve to 3-0 in singles play. Mosquera-Carrascosa won his first collegiate singles match 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
