HU Men's Tennis Falls to OBU at GAC Tournament

Adam Edwards teamed with Helio Hashimoto to win at No. 3 doubles.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Harding men's tennis fell 5-2 to 21st-ranked Ouachita Baptist in the semifinals of the Great American Conference Tournament on Friday. The loss dropped Harding to 12-8 overall and ended the Bisons' season. It was the final match for head coach David Elliott, who is retiring after 39 seasons as Harding's coach.

Harding won one of the three doubles matches. Helio Hashimoto and Adam Edwards defeated Riccardo Bassani and Leon Ferran 8-5 at No. 3. Hashimoto and Edwards finished the season 7-6 in doubles action, the most wins by a Harding duo this season.

Harding's second point came at No. 1 singles, where Bison sophomore Kittibodee Singnil, ranked No. 13 in singles in the NCAA Division II Central Region, defeated Marko Boskovic, the GAC Player of the Year and No. 2-ranked player in the region and No. 36-ranked player in Division II. Singnil won in straight sets 6-2, 6-4.
