MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Harding men's tennis opened the 2013-14 season with an 8-1 road victory over NCAA Division III opponent Rhodes College on Wednesday.

Harding won two of the three doubles matches and swept all six singles matches. It was the first of two dual matches the Bisons will play in the fall.

Mathaus Spiering, Yann Le Mat, Brandon Hogland, and Josh Hurt each made their Harding dual match debuts.

Harding's next men's action is Oct. 1 on the road at Arkansas-Ft. Smith.
