Harding
- Harding opens its 17th season of intercollegiate volleyball when it travels to San Bernardino, Calif., on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Bisons are 11-5 in season openers since joining NCAA Division II in 1997.
- The Lady Bisons return 10 letterwinners, including five starters, off last season's team that finished 28-6 overall and 14-0 in its second season in the Great American Conference.
- Harding returns senior outside hitter Mollie Arnold, who led the Lady Bisons averaging 4.07 kills per set. She also averaged 2.93 digs per set.
- Harding is coached by Meredith Fear, who is in her second season as head coach of the Lady Bisons.
Cal Poly Pomona
- Cal Poly Pomona is a member of the NCAA Division II California Collegiate Athletic Association and has an enrollment of about 21,000 students.
- The Broncos finished 13-16 overall last season.
- The Broncos are coached by Rosie Wegrich who is in her 22nd year. Wegrich has compiled a 348-241 record at Cal Poly Pomona.
- It will be the first meeting between the two teams.
Sonoma State
- Sonoma State is a member of the NCAA Division II California Collegiate Athletic Association and has an enrollment of about 8,600 students.
- The Seawolves finished 22-9 last season and tied for second in the CCAA with a 16-6 record. Sonoma State made the NCAA tournament last season but fell to No. 15 Western Washington 3-0 in the first round of the West Regional.
- The Seawolves are coached by Bear Grassl who is in his 12th year. Grassl has compiled a 186-125 record at Sonoma State and has taken his team to the NCAA Tournament the last five years.
- It will be the first meeting between the two teams.
No. 22 California-San Diego
- California-San Diego is a member of the NCAA Division II California Collegiate Athletic Association and has an enrollment of about 28,500 students.
- The Tritons finished 20-11 last season and finished fourth in the CCAA with a 15-7 record. California-San advanced to the NCAA tournament last season but fell to BYU-Hawaii in the first round of the West Regional.
- The Tritons are coached by Ricci Luyties who is in his fourth year. Luyties has compiled a 61-26 record at California-San Diego.
- It will be the first meeting between the two teams.
California State Los Angeles
- California State Los Angeles is a member of the NCAA Division II California Collegiate Athletic Association and has an enrollment of about 21,000 students.
- The Golden Eagles finished 16-13 overall last season and finished fifth in the CCAA with a 15-7 record.
- The Tritons are coached by Randi Smart who is in her fifth year. Smart has compiled a 69-46 record at California State Los Angeles.
