SEARCY - Harding men's tennis won its first of two fall dual matches Friday with a 7-2 victory over Rhodes.
The Bisons improved to 1-0 on the season with Rhodes, a member of the NCAA Division III Southern Athletic Association, falling to 0-1.
Harding won two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead. The Bisons' No. 1 doubles team of
Andras Marics and
David Korsten won 8-2, and senior
Jon Mark Rowden and
Neto Cacace won 8-1 at No. 2.
The Bisons also won five of the six singles matches. Rowden (No. 1), Marics, (No. 2), Korsten (No. 3),
Felipe Carbonari (No. 5), and
Josh Hurt (No. 6) all won in straight sets.
Harding will play its final dual match of the fall Monday when it hosts Christian Brothers at 11 a.m.
