BETHANY, Okla. – The Harding women's soccer team fell to Southern Nazarene 1-0 in overtime on Saturday in Great American Conference action. The Lady Bisons fall to 6-11-1 overall and 6-3-1 in the GAC.
With the win, the Crimson Storm won the GAC regular season championship and will host the GAC Tournament Nov. 7 and 9. Harding will be the No. 2 seed and will play the winner between East Central and Ouachita Baptist who will have to play rain makeup game in Arkadelphia, Ark., on Monday for the third and fourth seeds.
Harding held Southern Nazarene (10-8, 8-2 GAC) scoreless until the 92nd minute when Sheridan Williams sent a cross from the corner that found Grace Self who scored her fourth goal of the season.
Junior goalkeeper Kaitlyn Miller faced 31 shots and had season-high 11 saves for the Lady Bisons.
Harding will take the week off to prepare for the GAC Tournament.
