SEARCY - No. 47 Harding men's tennis evened its record at 7-7 with an 8-1 victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith on a windy Thursday afternoon at the Harding Tennis Complex.

The Bisons took control of the match with two close wins in the three doubles matches. Jon Mark Rowden and Brandon Hogland won 8-6 at No. 2, and Mathaus Spiering and Yann Le Mat won by the same score at No. 1. Hogland and Rowden have won their last two and are 3-2 as a team. Spiering and Le Mat improved to 6-4 as a team.

Harding then swept the six singles matches for only the fourth time this season. The Bisons won five of the matches in straight sets, and Rowden completed his win at No. 2 with a third-set victory in a super tiebreaker. Rowden's win was the 35th of his career. Spiering's victory was his 16th overall and seventh against a regionally-ranked opponent.
