SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Texas Woman's on Sunday in non-conference action at the Stevens Soccer Complex. The Lady Bisons fall to 0-5-0 on the season.
Texas Woman's took a 1-0 early lead in the fourth minute when senior forward Emily Davila found sophomore forward Natalia Diaz on a cross from left to the center of the box. Diaz's shot found the upper right corner of the net.
The Pioneer's scored their second goal in the 23rd minute when senior forward Candice Davies found senior defender Erin Bolinger on a throughball up the center of the field. Bolinger's shot was to the lower left corner of the net and it was her first this season.
Texas Woman's scored its third goal in the 48th minute when sophomore forward Nancy Chavez found Diaz on a throughball up the right side. It was Diaz's second goal of the game and her fourth this season.
The Pioneer's final goal came in the 65th minute when Bolinger sent a cross into the box from left side of the field. Her cross from Davies' head from six yards out. It was her first goal of the season.
Harding had an opportunity to score in the 28th minute off a corner kick but Audrey Adkison's header hit the left post.
The Lady Bisons had another opportunity in the 84th minute when junior midfielder Adair Schmidt took a shot from 23 yards out that was saved by Texas Woman's goalkeeper Mary Heidt.
Harding goalkeeper Kaitlyn Miller had seven saves.
Harding will be back in action on Tuesday as they host Hendrix in a non-conference game at 7 p.m.
