HARDING
- Harding will be looking for its 12th straight win on Thursday when it travels to Henderson State in Great American Conference action. It will the first road game for the Lady Bisons since Jan. 10th at Southeastern Oklahoma.
- Harding wrapped up a four game homestand on Saturday. The Lady Bisons defeated East Central 62-50, Southern Nazarene 69-53, No. 12 Arkansas Tech 74-61, and Arkansas-Monticello 82-58.
- The Lady Bisons moved up to No. 16 in latest poll released on Tuesday. It marks 24 straight weeks Harding has been ranked which dates back to last season. The Lady Bisons have also been ranked 8th, 15th, 20th, 22nd and 25th this season. Harding joins Arkansas Tech (No. 20) as the only GAC schools in the poll.
- Harding sits alone atop the GAC standings after beating Arkansas Tech last Thursday. The two teams will meet again Feb. 26 in Russellville, Ark.
- The Lady Bisons have won their last five road games, all being against GAC teams.
- Harding has won its last 20 GAC games dating back to last season which is the most by eight games. Arkansas Tech won 12 between the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons.
- Harding is coming off an 82-58 win over Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday. The Lady Bisons were led by seniors Arielle Saunders and Montana Lewis who both had 20 points. Saunders also had a career-high 19 rebounds in the game. It was the first time since 2012 against Southwestern Oklahoma, Harding has had two players score over 20 points. Kristen Celsor (2010-14) and Lewis both had 24 points in that game.
- The Lady Bisons are led on the season by Arielle Saunders who ranks sixth in the GAC in scoring, averaging 17.2 points and ranks second in the GAC in rebounds, averaging 11.6 per game. She also ranks third in the GAC in field goal percentage, shooting 56.7 percent from the field.
- Saunders needs 46 more rebounds to become only the third player in Harding history to have 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Angie Dugger (1993-97) and Nancee Wilson (1989-93) are the only players to accomplish the feat. Saunders currently has 954 career rebounds and is in third place all time at Harding. She needs 168 rebounds to move into second place.
- Senior guard Montana Lewis also averages in double figures for Harding. She is second on the team in points, averaging 11.2 per game and second on the team in rebounds averaging 5.8 per game.
- Sophomore guard A'ndrea Haney has been doing the dirty work for Harding this season. Haney is second in the GAC in assists averaging 3.8 per game and leads the GAC in steals averaging 1.9 per game. She needs eight assists to get to 200 in her career.
- Harding has been playing great defense this season. The Lady Bisons rank first in the GAC in scoring defense (57.4 points) and field goal percentage defense (34.7 percent). Harding has held its opponent to shooting under 38 percent during its winning streak (11 games).
- Harding has hit 108 3-pointers this season. The Lady Bisons hit 10 against Arkansas-Monticello last Saturday. Harding has made 10 or more in a game five times. Freshman guard Lundon Williams leads the Lady Bisons with 25. Montana Lewis is close behind with 23. Williams is shooting 49.0 percent from behind the 3-point line to lead the GAC. Lewis ranks fourth in the GAC, shooting 43.4 percent.
- Harding is 5-1 on the road this season. The Lady Bisons average 70.5 points, 16.7 more than its opponents. Harding has held its opponents to shooting 34.0 percent from the field and 28.7 percent from behind the arc. The Lady Bisons also average 42.7 rebounds per game, 11.7 more than its opponents. Harding's only loss came at No. 8 West Texas A&M as the Lady Bisons fell 67-65.
HENDERSON STATE
- Henderson State heads into the game with a 6-11 overall record and a 4-7 GAC record.
- The Reddies have won two of their last three games. Henderson State beat Southwestern Oklahoma 85-73 and Ouachita Baptist 75-46 at home but fell at Arkansas Tech 82-73 last Saturday.
- Henderson State is 4-5 at home this season and 2-4 against GAC teams.
- The Lady Reddies are led by senior guard Aungelique Sledge who averages 19.4 points which ranks third in the GAC. She is also first on the team in rebounds, averaging 6.3 per game.
- Junior guard Dulincia Keener rank second in the GAC in field goal percentage, shooting 60.2 percent from the field.
SERIES
- Harding leads the series 26-23.
- The Lady Bisons have won the last six meetings, dating back to the 2011-12 season.
- Henderson State leads the series in Arkadelphia 14-9. The Reddies last win came in Arkadelphia when Henderson State beat the Lady Bisons 68-51.
- When the two teams met earlier this season, Harding beat Henderson State 66-48 in Searcy. Arielle Saunders had 23 points and nine rebounds in the game. Freshman forward Sydney Layrock had 12 points and A'ndrea Haney had 10 points. The Lady Bisons held the Reddies to shooting 30.5 percent from the field and 22.7 percent from behind the 3-point line.
