No. 22 Harding Travels to Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday

HARDING

- Harding will be looking for its seventh straight win on Saturday as they travel to Southeastern Oklahoma.

- The Lady Bisons are one of three undefeated teams in the Great American Conference standings. Harding, who has a 6-0 conference record, is tied with Arkansas Tech and East Central for first place who also have a 6-0 record.

- The Lady Bisons moved up three spots to No. 22 in latest poll released on Tuesday. It marks 21 straight weeks Harding has been ranked which dates back to last season. The Lady Bisons have also been ranked 8th, 15th, 20th and 25th this season. Harding joins Arkansas Tech (18) as the only GAC schools in the poll.

- The Lady Bisons are 4-1 on the road this season as their only loss came at then ranked No. 8 West Texas A&M in non-conference action. Harding has won its last four games on the road, including its last two games.

- Harding is coming off a 70-45 GAC win at Ouachita Baptist last Saturday. Senior forward Arielle Saunders tied a career-high with 25 points to lead the Lady Bisons. She also grabbed 11 rebounds to capture her eighth double-double of the season.

- Saunders leads Harding on the season averaging 16.2 points ranking sixth in the GAC. She also averages 10.7 rebounds per game ranking second in the GAC and 32nd in NCAA Division II. Saunders is shooting 56.3 percent from the field which ranks first in the GAC and 19th in NCAA Division II.

- Saunders needs 116 more rebounds to become only the third player in Harding history to have 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Angie Dugger (1993-97) and Nancee Wilson (1989-93) are the only players to accomplish the feat. Saunders currently has 884 career rebounds and is in third place all time at Harding. She needs 210 rebounds to move into second place. Saunders, who is the all-time leader in offensive rebounds in the modern era, needs two defensive rebounds to become the all-time leader on the defensive end.

- Senior guard Montana Lewis is second on the team in points and rebounds as she is averaging 10.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Lewis needs 17 more points to get 900 in her career. She also needs 15 rebounds to get to 600 in her career.

- Harding ranks first in the GAC in 3-point field goal percentage as the Lady Bisons have three players rank in the top 10 in the GAC. Freshman guard Falan Miller leads the conference in 3-point field goal percentage shooting 52.0 percent. Freshman guard Lundon Williams ranks third shooting 48.6 percent and Montana Lewis ranks sixth shooting 44.4 percent.

- Harding is averaging 16.3 assists per game which ranks second in the GAC. Sophomore guard A'ndrea Haney ranks third in the GAC averaging 3.7 assists per game and Arielle Saunders ranks fourth averaging 3.3 per game.

- The Lady Bisons also rank first in the GAC in scoring defense as their opponents are averaging only 57.2 points per game. During its win streak Harding has held its opponents under 50 points four of the six games, including the last two.

- The Lady Bisons have been outrebounding their opponents by 12.0 per game ranking first in the GAC. In conference games this season Harding is averaging 42.8 rebounds per game ranking first in the GAC.

- Harding is averaging 35.0 points in the paint this season. The Lady Bisons have score over 25 points in the paint in 11 of their 12 games. They have scored over 50 points two times this season.

SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA

- Southeastern Oklahoma heads into the game with a 12-2 overall record and a 5-1 GAC record. Its only conference loss came at Southern Nazarene 68-57.

- The Savage Storm have won their last three games, including a 61-58 GAC win over Arkansas-Monticello.

- Southeastern Oklahoma will be playing its sixth straight game at home dating back to Dec. 13th. The Savage Storm is 8-1 at home this season. Their only loss came against Cameron as they fell 82-81.

- The Savage Storm is led by senior guard Emily Williams who averages 17.9 points per game, ranking her fourth in the GAC. She also averaging 7.7 rebounds per game, ranking her fifth in the GAC.

- Williams also ranks fourth in the GAC in free throw percentage, shooting 82.8 percent. She also averages 3.1 assists per game, ranking her sixth in the GAC.

- Sophomore guard Olivia Potter leads the conference in 3-point field goals made, averaging 3.4 per game. She also ranks second in the GAC in 3-point field goal percentage shooting 49.0 percent from behind the arc.

SERIES

- Harding leads the series 8-5.

- Southeastern Oklahoma leads the series in Durant 4-3.

- The Lady Bisons have won the last four games dating back to 2013. Harding won the last meeting in Durant 77-64 last season.

- Last season against Southeastern Oklahoma, Arielle Saunders averaged 8.0 points and 15.5 rebounds. She grabbed 17 offensive rebounds and 14 defensive rebounds in the two games.
