MAGNOLIA, Arkansas – The Harding volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-22) at Southern Arkansas in Great American Conference action on Thursday.
RECORDS
Harding falls to 6-10 overall and 3-2 in the GAC. Southern Arkansas improves to 8-7 overall and 3-2 in the GAC.
SET ONE HIGHLIGHTS
Harding took a 9-7 lead in the first set after a 4-0 run on two kills. Southern Arkansas stayed close and tied the set at 13 after a 3-0 run on two blocks. The Lady Muleriders went on an 8-4 run to lead 21-17. Harding pulled within two 23-21 on a kill by Zoe Hardin. A Lady Bison service error and a block gave Southern Arkansas the set 25-21.
SET TWO HIGHLIGHTS
Southern Arkansas jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the second set. Harding battled back and pulled within one on a 5-1 run. The Lady Muleriders went on to take a 20-13 lead but the Lady Bisons battled back and got within one 23-22 on a 9-3 run. Trailing 24-22, Harding had kills by Zoe Hardin and Abigail Glosup to tie the set at 24. A Harding attack error and a kill by Alli O'banion gave Southern Arkansas the set 26-24.
SET THREE HIGHLIGHTS
Trailing 9-4, Harding went on an 8-2 run to take a 13-12 lead in the third set. The teams exchanged the next few points and Harding pulled within one 23-22 on a block by Zoe Hardin and Molly Howard. Southern Arkansas then had a kill by Emilie Aase and a service ace by Savannah Pillow to get set and match victory.
TEAM STATS
Southern Arkansas held Harding to hitting .139 in the match and forced 20 Lady Bison attack errors.
The Lady Muleriders hit .188 and had 43 kills.
INDIVIDUAL STATS
Harding was led by freshman middle blocker Zoe Hardin who had 15 kills and hit .429.
Junior setter Abigail Glosup captured a double-double with 26 assists and 10 digs. Junior defensive specialist Anna Leigh Cargile had 13 digs to lead the defense.
Southern Arkansas was led by Serena LeDuff who had 13 kills. Alli O'Banion had 10 kills and five blocks for the Lady Muleriders. Hannah Rice led the defense with 20 digs.

Harding will take a break from GAC action on Friday when it hosts NCAA Division I opponent Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 6 p.m., at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
