HU Men's Soccer Returns to GAC Action at Oklahoma Baptist

SEARCY – Harding begins the second half of the inaugural Great American Conference men's soccer season Thursday when it plays the first of two road conference games at Oklahoma Baptist. Harding and Oklahoma Baptist enter the game tied for third place in the four-team conference.

First Meeting
Harding won the first meeting between the teams this season 4-0 in Searcy on Sept. 24. Barry Foster scored two goals for the Bisons, including one just over two minutes into the game. His second goal came in the 48th minute. Freshmen Jeremy Nwonumah and Eric Prato also scored second-half goals. Thomas Shults made a season-high nine saves in the shutout.

HU Team News
Harding enters the game 3-8-1 overall and 1-4-0 on the road. The Bisons snapped a four-game skid with its 3-1 victory over Southwest Baptist on Saturday. Harding's last road win also came against Southwest Baptist. The Bisons have dropped their last two road games.

Harding has scored 13 of its 17 goals after halftime this season.

Junior Barry Foster leads Harding with six goals this season. He has 11 in his career and is just two goals from reaching Harding's career top 10.

Junior Jackson Buchanan has scored goals in three straight games and is the current GAC Offensive Player of the Week. Sophomore defender Aaron Craig is the current GAC Defender of the Week.
 
Opponent Team News
Oklahoma Baptist is 3-10-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the GAC. The Bison are 2-2-0 at home with wins over Jarvis Christian (2-1) and Johnson & Wales (1-0). Oklahoma Baptist is coming off a 3-2 road loss to West Texas A&M on Monday.

Oklahoma Baptist has scored 12 of its 18 goals after halftime this season.
