SHAWNEE, Oklahoma – Senior midfielder Ashley Sampson found the back of the net in the 86th minute to give the Harding women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Oklahoma Baptist in Great American Conference action on Thursday.

Harding improves to 9-2-2 overall and 6-0-1 in the GAC. Oklahoma Baptist falls to 4-6-0 overall and 2-3-0 in the GAC
GOALS
Harding 1, Oklahoma Baptist 0 – 86th minute – Emma Chilton hit a quick pass to Meagan Ogburn who quickly found Ashley Sampson for the goal.
TEAM STATS
The Lady Bisons have not lost in 11 games. Harding has won nine times and has tied twice during its streak. The Lady Bisons have won their last four straight games.
With the win, the Lady Bisons are tied with Southwestern Oklahoma for first place in the GAC standings. The winner of the GAC regular season will host the conference tournament Nov. 6-8.
It was Harding's eighth shutout of the season and its second straight.
The Lady Bisons took 19 shots in the game; 12 were in the first half and seven in the second half.
Harding held Oklahoma Baptist to only four shots in the game and one was on goal.
INDIVIDUAL STATS
It was Ashley Sampson's second career goal and it her first game winning goal.
Both Emma Chilton and Meagan Ogburn recorded their first assist of the season.
Senior goalkeeper Kaitlyn Miller recorded her seventh shutout of the season which moved her into a tie for second place in Harding history for the most in a season. Cheryl Dovichak (2004-05) holds the Lady Bison record when she recorded eight in the 2004 season. Miller surpassed the Harding career record in shutouts earlier this season. She has recorded 17 shutouts in her career.
Oklahoma Baptist was led by Jennifer Goethe who had two shots.
