SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team defeated Texas A&M-Commerce 3-1 (25-14, 21-25, 25-23, 25-16) on Tuesday in non-conference action at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House. It was the Lady Bisons last non-conference match of the season. Harding wore pink uniforms in the match and honored Scout Rogers, a young lady from Beebe, Arkansas, who is battling cancer.

Harding improves to 12-13 overall and Texas A&M-Commerce falls to 14-9 overall.
SET ONE HIGHLIGHTS
Up 7-6 in the first set, Harding went on a 15-4 run to lead 20-10. The Lady Bisons had two service aces by Madison Poen and forced eight Texas A&M-Commerce attack errors during its run. Harding went on to win the set 25-14.
SET TWO HIGHLIGHTS
Leading 18-11 in the second set, Harding gave up a 12-2 run by Texas A&M-Commerce. Back-to-back kills by Summer Alford gave the Lions the set 25-21. The Lady Bisons were held to only nine kills in the set and hit .024.
SET THREE HIGHLIGHTS
Trailing 12-7, Harding went on a 9-0 run to lead 15-12. Texas A&M-Commerce answered back with a 4-0 run to regain the lead 16-15. Trailing 23-21, Harding scored the next four points to win the set 25-23. The Lady Bisons had 14 kills in the set and hit .333.
SET THREE HIGHLIGHTS
Trailing 9-5, Harding went on a 5-0 run to lead 10-9. The teams exchanged points until Harding went on a 7-0 run as they forced four Lions' attack errors to lead 24-15. The Lady Bisons forced another attack error to win the set and the match. Harding had 13 kills and only four attack errors in the set and forced eight Texas A&M-Commerce attack errors.
TEAM STATS
Harding had 48 kills in the match and hit .220.
Texas A&M-Commerce had 49 kills, 34 attack errors and hit .099.
Harding had 10 team blocks in the match.
INDIVIDUAL STATS
Harding was led by freshman middle blocker Zoe Hardin who had 12 kills and hit .417 with five blocks. Senior outside hitter Molly Howard captured a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs.
Junior defensive specialist Anna Leigh Cargile led the Lady Bisons defense with 16 digs.
Texas A&M-Commerce was led by Summer Alford who had 13 kills. Taryn Driver had 11 kills and Veronika Baric had 10 kills and a match-high 21 digs.

Harding Head Coach Meredith Fear: "The team played well tonight as a whole. We won the serve/pass game and were able to overcome a deficit toward the end of the third set which is something we have struggled with all year. We were able to balance out our offense and get ourselves efficient."
