12th-Ranked Harding Football Falls Late to Ouachita

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.
– Ouachita took advantage of a late Harding turnover and scored the game-winning touchdown with 1:40 left to defeat the 12th-ranked Bisons 26-21. It was Harding's first loss of the season and first in its last nine Great American Conference games.

Records
Harding fell to 4-1 overall and in conference. Ouachita improved to 4-1 overall and in conference. Harding continues to lead the series 30-23-4.

Ouachita converted eight of its 12 third downs and scored on four of its six trips to the red zone. Harding converted five of 10 third downs and scored on two of its three red-zone trips. The Bisons did not run a play from the red zone in the second half.

Key Individual Stats
Harding junior Eric Kelly rushed four times for a career-high 114 yards. Kelly had runs of 10, 17, 51 and 36 yards, and also had a 35-yard reception.

Harding linebacker Daylan Skidmore had a team-high 13 tackles and now has 36 tackles in three games against Ouachita.

Harding junior Michael Latu rushed for 90 yards on 14 carries, his second straight game with 90 or more yards.

Ouachita quarterback Austin Warford led the Tigers with 91 rushing yards on 17 carries. He also completed 12 of 17 passes for 153 yards and the game-winning touchdown.
