Haney Leads Harding Women's Basketball in Arkansas State Exhibition

JONESBORO, Ark. – Junior point guard A'ndrea Haney scored 10 of her team-high 16 points in the second half to lead Harding in scoring in its second and final exhibition game Tuesday against Arkansas State.

The Red Wolves won the game 79-65 at the Convocation Center, taking the lead for good in a second quarter that saw Arkansas State score 32 points.

Sophomore guard Lundon Williams scored 12 points, and sophomore forward Sydney Layrock added 10. Haney led the team with six assists, made two of Harding's seven 3-pointers and four of the team's eight free throws. Sophomore Falan Miller and freshman Sydnie Jones topped Harding with six rebounds each.

Guard Aundrea Gamble shot a perfect 9-of-9 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line to lead Arkansas State with 21 points. The Red Wolves shot 56 percent from the field in the first half and led 50-36 at halftime.

Harding plays its first regular season game Friday against Cameron in Lawton, Oklahoma. Tipoff is at 12:30 p.m.
