Harding plays its first of two straight road games on Thursday when it travels to Alva, Oklahoma to take on Northwestern Oklahoma at 5:30 p.m., in Great American Conference action.

Harding enters the game with a 0-2 overall record and will be playing its first GAC game. The Lady Bisons are 16-13 (.551) in conference openers. In the GAC, Harding is 4-0. It will be the first time the Lady Bisons have faced the Rangers to open conference.

Harding is coming off a 66-65 loss at Cameron last Friday in non-conference action. The Lady Bisons were led by sophomore forward Sydney Layrock who had 28 points and three 3-pointers. She also captured her third career double-double with 11 rebounds. Junior forward Correy Moyer added 15 points and junior guard A'ndrea Haney had 11 points.

Northwestern Oklahoma will be playing its third straight home game on Thursday. The Rangers are coming off a 72-65 loss to Central Oklahoma last Saturday. Kamera Bozeman led Northwestern Oklahoma with 11 points and five rebounds.

Harding enters the game as the GAC's leader in 3-point field goals made (8.0 per game) and 3-point field goal percentage (50.0).


Harding Team Notes:
Thursday conference game will be the earliest Harding has opened conference play. It will be the third straight year the Lady Bisons have opened conference play before Thanksgiving. Before 2013-14 season, Harding has never opened conference before Thanksgiving.

Harding had four different players attempt three 3-pointers against Cameron. Syndey Layrock was the only player that went 3-for-3 from behind the arc. A'ndrea Haney went 2-for-2.

The Lady Bisons hit the boards against the Aggies. Harding outrebounded Cameron 40-38. Sophomore forward Falan Miller and Sydney Layrock each had over 10 rebounds.

Series Notes:
Harding and Northwestern Oklahoma is meeting for the seventh time. The Lady Bisons have won the last six meetings.

Northwestern Oklahoma is 0-2 to start its season. The Rangers fell to Northeastern State 61-43 last Friday before falling to Central Oklahoma on Saturday.

Northwestern Oklahoma is led on the season by Kamera Bozeman who averages 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds. Relina Johnson also averages double-figures with 11.0 points per game.

The Rangers are getting outscored 12.5 points per game. Northwestern Oklahoma is shooting 33.1 percent from the field and 27.0 percent from behind the 3-point line.
