Harding will play its first home game of the season on Monday when it hosts Christian Brothers in non-conference action at 5:30 p.m., at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

Harding enters the game with a 2-1 overall record and Christian Brothers will be playing its first game of the season.

Harding is coming off an 85-74 win at Southwestern Oklahoma on Saturday in Great American Conference action. Sophomore forward Sydney Layrock led Harding with 25 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. Sophomore guard Lundon Williams added 17 points for the Lady Bisons, making 5-of-8 3-pointers.

Christian Brothers returns three starters and six letterwinners from a squad that went 8-20 last season.

Harding is 25-7 (78.1 percent) in home openers. It will be the fourth straight year the Lady Bisons have played the Lady Bucs in their home opener. Harding is 4-0 against Christian Brothers all-time in home openers. The first time they met was in 1989 when Harding won 66-49.

The Lady Bucs played three exhibition games before their season opener on Monday. Christian Brothers fell to Ole Miss (100-53), Tennessee-Martin (93-41) and Austin Peay (74-55). Junior forward Samantha Reeves led the Lady Bucs against Ole Miss with 20 points and guard Courtney Banks led the team against Austin Peay with 19 points.

The Lady Bucs top returner is sophomore guard Rachel Lee who averaged 8.5 points last season. Sophomore guard Courtney Banks returners for her sophomore year and she averaged 8.0 points last season.
