Harding Tennis Meets Delta State on Thursday in Regional Clash

SEARCY – The 48th-ranked Harding men's tennis team carries its three-match winning streak into Thursday's neutral-site matchup with Delta State. Both teams are ranked regionally in NCAA II. The teams will play at the Heflin Tennis Center on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University beginning at 1 p.m.

Harding Notes

The Bisons, ranked No. 6 in the ITA's NCAA II Central Region rankings, enter the match 3-0 overall. Harding has defeated Rhodes (7-2), Christian Brothers (9-0) and Hendrix (9-0).

Harding is 17-1 in singles action in its three dual matches. Senior Jon Mark Rowden is 3-0 with all three wins coming at No. 1 singles. Rowden enters the match with a four-match singles winning streak. Freshman David Korsten has a team-high six singles victories this season, including three in dual matches.

Harding's doubles team are 8-1 in dual matches. Freshmen Korsten and Andras Marics are a perfect 3-0 at No. 1. Sophomore Neto Cacace has a team-high seven doubles victories and is 3-0 in dual matches.

Delta State Notes

The Statesmen are ranked No. 10 in the ITA's NCAA II South Region rankings and enter the match 1-0.

Delta State's lone action in the spring was a 9-0 victory over Stillman on Feb. 7.

Delta State is a member of NCAA Division II and is located in Cleveland, Mississippi.

Series Notes

Delta State leads the series 22-19, but Harding won last season's meeting 5-4 in Arkadelphia.
