SEARCY – Harding made 10 3-pointers in the first half and 16 in the game and defeated Great American Conference regular season champion Ouachita Baptist 91-71 on Saturday before a capacity crowd at Rhodes Field House.
With the victory, Harding (13-13, 11-9) finished the regular season in a four-way tie for third place in the conference standings. Under GAC tiebreaker rules, Harding will be the No. 6 seed in the GAC Tournament and will play No. 3 seed Southern Arkansas on Friday at noon in the quarterfinals.
Harding led 47-36 at halftime and made nine of its first 10 shots in the second half to pull away, extending the lead in the second half to as many as 24 points.
Andraz Kavas led Harding with 32 points, and John Hudson made seven 3-pointers to finish with 21. Will Francis scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half for the Bisons, who had 29 assists on 33 field goals.
Micah Delph led Ouachita Baptist (20-5, 16-4) with 14 points, hitting four of the Tigers' 10 3-pointers.
Kavas made 13-of-20 from the field and eclipsed the 30-point mark for the third time this season.
