No. 45 Harding Men's Tennis Falls 5-4 to No. 19 Cameron

SEARCY - A pair of close losses in doubles proved too much to overcome as No. 45 Harding lost 5-4 to No. 19 Cameron on Thursday at the Harding Tennis Courts.

Harding (4-5) led 7-6 at both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, but Cameron (7-5) came from behind to win 9-7 at No. 1 and 9-8 at No. 2. Harding's No. 3 team of Neto Cacace and Adrian Torrico won their fifth straight match and improved to 6-1 as a team this season.

Harding won three of the six singles matches, highlighted by David Korsten's 6-2, 7-5 victory over Joao Fazendeiro, the No. 41 singles player in Division II and the No. 3 singles player in the South Central Region. It was Harding's first singles victory over a nationally-ranked player this season.

Torrico won his second straight singles match at No. 6. He won 6-0, 7-5 and improved to 4-2 in singles. Brandon Hogland won a three-set match and is 6-2 in singles matches.
