BETHANY, Okla. – Harding junior Andrew Fiddler pitched his first nine-inning complete game and the Bisons scored all of its runs in a seven-run fourth inning to defeat Southern Nazarene 7-2 on Sunday in Great American Conference action.
Harding (8-10, 4-3) won both games Saturday and swept Southern Nazarene for the first time in three GAC series against the Crimson Storm.
Fiddler (1-2) collected his first win of the season, allowing seven hits and no walks with six strikeouts. He needed only 93 pitches (63 strikes) in the complete game.
Harding sent 10 batters to the plate in the fourth inning. The Bisons loaded the bases with one out and scored their first run on Chapman's walk. Harrison Hunter singled in the second run, and with the bases loaded, Zac Stewart was hit by a pitch to make it 3-1.
Chapman added the fourth run by scoring on a wild pitch, and Noah Chandler singled to center to score two more. Davis Richardson's sacrifice fly scored Chandler with the final run.
Harding had 10 hits in the game, with two each from Hunter, Chandler, Jaxon Mohr and Shane Kinnear.
Southern Nazarene (3-10, 2-7) has lost six straight.
