BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Harding's tennis teams will begin postseason play Friday at the Great American Conference Tournament at the Memorial Park Tennis Complex.
Harding's women are the No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 seed Southern Nazarene at 9 a.m. The winner of that match will meet No. 1 seed Southeastern Oklahoma at 3 p.m. in the semifinals. The championship is Saturday at 2 p.m.
Southern Nazarene defeated Harding 5-4 in a tight match in Searcy on March 28. The Lady Bisons earned a doubles point at No. 3 and collected singles wins from freshman Brittany Smyser (No. 4), Freshman Emily Faulkner (No. 5) and sophomore Kaylie Brown (No. 6).
The Harding men are the No. 4 seed and will take on regular-season champion Southeastern Oklahoma on Friday at noon. The winner will play in the championship Saturday at 11 a.m.
The Bisons and the Savage Storm met on April 10 in Durant, Oklahoma, with Southeastern winning 7-2. Harding won at No. 3 doubles and freshman Adrian Torrico won at No. 5 singles.
