No. 18 Ouachita Baptist Defeats Harding Men's Tennis, 8-1

SEARCY - Sophomore Neto Cacace earned his second straight singles win and sixth victory in his last eight singles matches, but No. 18 Ouachita Baptist won the rest and defeated Harding 8-1 on Wednesday at the Harding tennis courts.

Cacace, a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, lost the first set 6-2 to Ouachita's Andre Stefano at No. 6, but rallied to win the second set 6-2 and the third-set tiebreaker 10-8. Cacace improved to 4-1 in three-set matches this season.

The match was the first of three Great American Conference contests for Harding (10-8, 0-1). The Bisons will meet Southeastern Oklahoma on Friday in Durant in their next GAC match.

Ouachita Baptist (10-4, 2-1) concluded its conference schedule with the Harding match.
