Harding Men's Soccer Continues Road Trip Sunday at Rogers State

SEARCY – Harding plays its second of three consecutive road games Sunday when it meets Rogers State, a member of the NCAA II Heartland Conference, for the first time. The Bisons lost 2-0 to Union in Jackson, Tennessee, on Friday. The final game of the trip is Thursday at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Missouri.

Harding has scored twice in its first three games with goals coming from junior Barry Foster, Harding's active goals leader with six, and senior Curtis Hunt, who scored his first career goal against Oklahoma Christian.

Harding was outshot for the first time this season in the loss to Union. The Bulldogs outshot the Bisons 19-6 overall and 6-2 on goal. Harding's opponents have had more shots on goal in all three games.

Twelve different players have attempted a shot for Harding in the first three games, led by freshman Jason Diaz with eight of the Bisons' 36 shots.

Rogers State opened the season with a 2-1 loss to Colorado State-Pueblo but responded with convincing victories over Southwest Baptist, 6-1 at home, and Ouachita, 4-0 on the road.

Danko Kenjic, a senior midfielder from Serbia, and Dylan Beaird, a senior forward from Tulsa, Oklahoma, have combined to score seven of Rogers State's 11 goals. Kenjic has four goals to go with two assists, and Beaird has three goals.

Rogers State has outscored its opponents 5-0 in the first half of its three games. The Hillcats have outshot their opponents 26-12 in the first half.
