ST. JOSEPH, Missouri – The Harding women's soccer team fell to Missouri Western State 2-1 on Sunday in non-conference action in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association/Great American Conference Challenge hosted by Missouri Western State.
RECORDS
Harding falls to 0-2 on the season and Missouri Western State improves to 2-0.
GOALS
Harding 1, Midwestern State 0 – 12th minute – Harding senior midfielder Audrey Adkison gave the Lady Bisons the lead after she found the back of the net from 25-yards out.
Midwestern State 1, Harding 1 – 20th minute – Cassidy Chappell found Bridget Blessie for her first goal of the game.
Midwestern State 2, Harding 1 – 67th minute – Layne Shepherd found Blessie for her second goal of the game and her second of the season.
TEAM STATS
Harding had 10 shots in the game, five on goal.
Missouri Western State took 23 shots, 13 on goal.
The Griffons had three players with three or more shots and 10 different players had a shot on goal.
INDIVIDUAL STATS
Adkison's goal for Harding was the 13th of her career and her first of the season.
