The Harding women's basketball team will play its third game in five days on Monday when it travels to Russellville, Arkansas to take on Arkansas Tech in Great American Conference action at 5:30 p.m.

Harding looks for its fourth straight win and its fifth road win on Monday.

Harding heads into the game with a 9-3 overall record and a 7-1 GAC record. The Lady Bisons are in sole possession of second place in the GAC standings. Arkansas Tech sits in first with an 8-0 GAC record.

Harding is coming off a 71-53 GAC win over Ouachita on Saturday. Sophomore forward Sydney Layrock led the Lady Bisons with 18 points, making two 3-pointers and all four of her free throws. Junior guard A'ndrea Haney had 14 points and sophomore forward Mackenzie McNamara came off the bench to capture her first career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Arkansas Tech heads into the contest with a 10-2 overall record and an 8-0 GAC record. The Golden Suns are coming off a 91-73 win at home against Southern Arkansas on Saturday. Anissa Pounds and Bre Brooks each had 18 points for Arkansas Tech.


Harding Team Notes:
Harding is led on the season by Sydney Layrock who averages 17.0 points to rank sixth in the GAC. Layrock also ranks eighth in the GAC in rebounds, averaging 7.1 per game.

Harding is 4-3 on the road this season. The Lady Bisons captured a 103-95 overtime win at Southeastern Oklahoma on their last road game. Harding is 3-1 on the road in conference action as its loss came at East Central on Jan. 7.
