The Harding women's basketball team will take on Northwestern Oklahoma on Thursday in Great American Conference at 5:30 p.m., at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

Harding is 5-1 at home this season as it looks to start a new home winning streak on Thursday. In their last home game, the Lady Bisons fell to Henderson State 66-62. The loss snapped a six game winning streak at home.

Harding heads into the game with a 10-5 overall record and an 8-3 GAC record. The Lady Bisons have sole possession of second place in the GAC standings. Arkansas Tech sits in first with an 11-0 GAC record. The top eight teams in the standings advance to the GAC Tournament held March 3-6, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Harding is coming off an 83-74 come from behind win at Southern Arkansas on Monday. Down by seven, 73-66, with 5:17 left Harding went on a 17-1 run to defeat the Lady Muleriders. Senior Kaylee Wiedower led the Lady Bisons with a career-high 21 points, making a career-high seven 3-pointers.

Northwestern Oklahoma heads into the contest with a 1-15 overall record and a 0-11 GAC record.


Harding Team Notes:
Harding is led on the season by Sydney Layrock who averages 17.2 points to rank sixth in the GAC. Layrock also averages 6.8 rebounds.

The Lady Bisons rank first in the GAC in 3-point field goals made. Harding averages 8.3 made 3-pointers per game. Lundon Williams averages 2.0 per game to rank ninth in the GAC.

Harding ranks third in the GAC in scoring defense (62.9 points), scoring margin (+7.2), free throw pct. (72.6), field goal percentage defense (38.0 percent) and steals (8.6).

Harding and Northwestern Oklahoma are meeting for the seventh time on Thursday. When the two teams met earlier this season in Alva, Oklahoma the Lady Bisons won 64-42. Lundon Williams led Harding with 13 points. The Lady Bisons shot 45.1 percent from the field and held the Rangers to shooting 29.1 percent.
