Big Ninth Inning Keys St. Edward's Victory over Harding Baseball

SEARCY – The 11th-ranked St. Edward's Hilltoppers broke open a close game with a seven-run ninth inning and defeated the Harding Bisons 11-0 on Sunday in the final game of a three-game non-conference series. The teams split Saturday's doubleheader.

Key Innings
  • St. Edward's led 4-0 entering the top of the ninth and added seven runs on seven hits in the frame. The big blow was a two-run, pinch-hit home run to left field by Nick Lerick.
  • The Hilltoppers scored an unearned run in the sixth and a single run in the eighth on a J.D. Arrowood single.
