SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team struck first but gave up a goal in each half as it fell 2-1 in Great American Conference action on Friday. The game was moved to the Searcy Sports Complex because of an unplayable service at home.
RECORDS
Harding falls to 7-6-0 on the season and 4-4-0 in the GAC. Oklahoma Baptist improves to 8-4-0 overall and 5-3-0 in the GAC. The two teams came into the game tied for third in the GAC standings.
GOALS
Harding 1, Oklahoma Baptist 0 – 6th minute – Carley Stevens sent a throughball up the right side and Morgan Springborn chipped it over the goalkeeper.
Harding 1, Oklahoma Baptist 1 – 27th minute – Abigail Hicks hit a shot that rebounded off the goalkeeper and Kelsey Lowe found the back of the net.
Oklahoma Baptist 2, Harding 1 – 37th minute – Reagan Mann sent a cross from the right side of the field to Abigail Hicks who found the lower left corner.
TEAM STATS
Each team had 11 shots in the game. Oklahoma Baptist had eight on goal and Harding had five.
Each team took three corner kicks and Harding committed 12 fouls to Oklahoma Baptist's five.
INDIVIDUAL STATS
It was Morgan Springborn's fifth goal of the season for Harding.
Harding goalkeeper Jessica Woessner had six saves in the game.
Abigail Hicks led Oklahoma Baptist with four shots, three were on goal.

Harding will play its next three games on the road and will open the road trip up next Thursday when it travels to Southwestern Oklahoma for a 3 p.m., kickoff.
