Hogue Leads Harding Women's Basketball to 76-72 Victory over Southwestern

SEARCY – Harding sophomore Caroline Hogue scored 25 points and added 18 rebounds to lead the Lady Bisons to a 76-72 victory over Southwestern Oklahoma on Saturday in Great American Conference play at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

Harding remained undefeated at 4-0 with the victory and moved to 2-0 in conference. Southwestern, who defeated Arkansas Tech on Thursday in Russellville, dropped to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in conference.

Hogue connected on 9-of-20 from the field and made 6-of-7 from the free-throw line. Her 18 rebounds were the most since Arielle Saunders had 19 against Arkansas-Monticello in 2015.

Harding outscored Southwestern in every quarter except the fourth. The Lady Bisons led 15-11 after one and 34-27 at halftime.

Senior guard A'ndi Haney scored 15 points and had nine assists for the third time this season. She also had five of Harding's 11 steals. Junior Falan Miller added 12 points, and sophomore Riley Rose had eight assists.

Hailey Tucker and Hayden Priddy scored 17 points each to lead Southwestern.

Harding will next meet Drury on Tuesday in Springfield, Missouri. Drury is also 4-0 and won a preseason exhibition against the University of Illinois.
