The Harding women's basketball team will play its final regular season road game on Saturday when it travels to Arkadelphia, Arkansas to face Henderson State in Great American Conference action at 1 p.m.

Harding is 8-5 on the road this season and 7-3 in the GAC. The Lady Bisons have won four of its last five road games. The loss came in their last road trip at Ouachita 87-83 on Feb. 6.

Harding heads into the game with a 15-8 overall record and a 13-6 GAC record. The Lady Bisons are tied with Southwestern Oklahoma for second place in the GAC standings. Arkansas Tech sits in first with an 18-1 GAC record. The top eight teams in the standings advance to the GAC Tournament held March 3-6, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Harding is coming off a 71-70 loss to Southern Arkansas on Thursday. The Lady Bisons were led by Sydney Layrock who scored 24 points. It was her fourth straight game scoring 20 or more points. Harding was led on the boards by Mackenzie McNamara who had seven. The Lady Bisons shot a season-high 90 percent from the free throw line, making 18-of-20.

Henderson State heads into the contest with an 11-14 overall record and a 10-9 GAC record. The Reddies are tied with two other teams for fifth place in the GAC standings.


Harding Team Notes:
Harding is led on the season by Sydney Layrock who averages 19.0 points to rank fourth in the GAC. Layrock also averages 6.3 rebounds.

The Lady Bisons rank second in the GAC in 3-point field goals made. Harding averages 8.3 made 3-pointers per game. Lundon Williams averages 2.0 per game to rank ninth in the GAC.

Harding ranks second in the GAC in scoring margin averaging 6.6 more points than its opponent. It ranks third in the GAC scoring defense (65.7 points) and 3-point field goal percentage (33.4 percent).

Junior guard A'ndrea Haney ranks 10th in the GAC in free throw percentage, shooting 77.7 percent. Haney has made 122 free throws this season which is most in the GAC and ranks 15th in NCAA Division II.

Harding ranks first in the GAC in steals, averaging 8.8 per game. A'ndrea Haney has recorded 70 steals, the most in the GAC, and averages 3.0 per game to rank first in the GAC and 10th in NCAA Division II. Lundon Williams has had 45 steals and ranks third in the GAC averaging 2.0 per game.

Lundon Williams ranks third in the GAC in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.6). In 23 games, she has recorded 87 assists to 33 turnovers.

Harding ranks sixth in NCAA Division II in fewest turnovers (303).

Kaylee Wiedower ranks eighth in the GAC in 3-point field goal percentage, shooting 37.8 percent.

A'ndrea Haney needs six more steals to reach 200 in her career. Bridget Benson is the only Harding player to reach 200 career steals. Haney currently ranks third all-time at Harding with 194 and needs four to move into second place and pass Emily Prysock.

Haney has recorded 70 steals this season, 64 last season and 60 her freshman year. Her 70 steals this season ranks third all-time at Harding for the most in a season. Bailey St. Clair set the record in the 2009-10 season when she had 90. St. Clair also has the second most when she recorded 83 in the 2010-11 season.

A'ndrea Haney also needs six more points to move into 18th all-time at Harding. She also needs four more free throws to move into sixth all-time at Harding (307) and pass Kristen Celsor.

Series Notes:
Harding and Henderson State are meeting for the 52nd time. When the two teams met in Searcy earlier this season, Henderson State won 66-62. The Reddies held the Lady Bisons to shooting 34.4 percent from the field and 4-of-19 from behind the 3-point line. Sydney Layrock led Harding with 17 points. A'ndrea Haney had 16 points, making 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Falan Miller led the Lady Bisons on the boards with eight.

Opponent Notes:
Henderson State is coming off a 82-54 loss at Arkansas Tech on Thursday. Dulincia Keener led the Reddies with 19 points and six rebounds. Arkansas Tech shot 50.8 percent from the field in the game and held Henderson State to shooting 39.3 percent. Henderson State played seven players and had five players play over 30 minutes in the game.

The Reddies are led on the season by senior forward Dulincia Keener who averages 17.7 points to rank fifth in the GAC. She also ranks fourth in the GAC in rebounding, averaging 9.0 per game. Senior guard Victoria Stewart averages 12.5 points and sophomore guard Haleigh Henson averages 10.9 points.
