Harding Men's Tennis Blanks William Jewell for Third Straight Win

LIBERTY, Mo. – In the last two seasons, Harding has won all 15 completed matches against William Jewell, including a 9-0 victory over the Cardinals on Friday.
Harding won its third straight match and improved to 4-1. William Jewell of the Great Lakes Valley Conference lost its sixth straight and fell to 3-9. Harding defeated William Jewell 6-0 last season.

Harding's No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams quickly put the Bisons ahead. Neto Cacace and Adrian Torrico won 8-2 at No. 2, and Chase Stumne and Brandon Hogland won 8-0 at No. 3. Cacace and Torrico have won three straight and are 7-3 this season.

The only tight match of the day came at No. 1 doubles, where Harding's Carlos Crisostomo and Henrique Vieira pushed past Caul Pearson and Isaac Hamilton 9-7.

Harding is now 12-3 in dual doubles matches this season.

The Bisons routed the Cardinals in singles, winning all six matches in straight sets, including five 6-0 sets.

Torrico won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 and improved to 5-0 in dual singles matches and a team-best 10-2 overall. Stumne is also 5-0 after a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6. Harding is 26-4 in dual singles matches this season.
