SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Harding softball team swept Oklahoma Baptist winning the first game 5-2 and the second game 7-5 in Great American Conference action on Friday.
Harding moves to 14-6 overall and 7-3 in the GAC. Oklahoma Baptist falls to 4-11 overall and 2-8 in the GAC.
Game One Key Innings (Harding 5, Oklahoma Baptist 2)
- After two scoreless innings, Oklahoma Baptist got on the board with a run on three hits in the third inning.
- Harding answered back with four runs on three hits in the top of the fourth led by Mackenzie Jones and Courtney Derrick who each drove in two runs.
- Oklahoma Baptist scored its last run in the fourth when Hannah Morris scored on a passed ball.
- Harding scored its final run in the sixth when Amanda Berdon singled to center field that scored Kinsey Beck from third.

- Harding's Kinsey Beck pushed her hitting streak to 19 games, picking up a single in the sixth inning.
- Harding had six hits in the game by six different players.
- Madison Vaughan led Oklahoma Baptist, going 3-for-4 at the plate and scoring a run.
- Hannah Johnson got the win for Harding to improve her record to 6-1. She threw her third complete game, giving up seven hits and two runs.

- Harding got things started scoring a run in each of the first two innings.
- Oklahoma Baptist took a 5-2 lead in the second, scoring five runs on three hits and two errors. Kasey Maddox hit a two-run homer to left field to lead Oklahoma Baptist.
- Harding scored two more runs in the fourth when Brookelynn Moon hit her third home run of the season.
- Harding took a 7-5 lead in the fifth inning scoring three runs on two hits. Brookelynn Moon picked up two more RBIs when she singled up the middle.
Game Two Key Statistics
- Kinsey Beck didn't pick up a hit in the game and had her school record 19 game hitting streak snapped.
- Brookelynn Moon went 3-for-3 and Amanda Berdon went 2-for-2 for Harding.
- Oklahoma Baptist was led by Shalee Cordell who went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
- Kristen Dempsey picked up her first career win for Harding pitching three and 2/3 innings of relief. Kelly Beth Ernest pitched two innings and got her fourth save of the season.
- Amanda Peterson, Oklahoma Baptist starting pitcher, got the loss and falls to 1-4 on the season. She pitched four 1/3 innings.
