Harding Men's Tennis Falls 5-1 to Southeastern Oklahoma at GAC Tournament

BENTONVILLE, Ark. - Harding men's tennis had its 2015-16 season come to a close Friday with a 5-1 loss to No. 24 Southeastern Oklahoma in the semifinals of the Great American Conference Tournament.

Harding finished its season 11-7 in its first year under head coach David Redding. Southeastern improved to 14-2 overall and advances to meet the winner of No. 1 seed Ouachita Baptist and No. 4 seed East Central on Saturday in the tournament championship.

Harding's lone point came at No. 1 doubles, where sophomore Carlos Crisostomo and freshman Henrique Vieira defeated Maksim Fil and Tiago Ferreira 8-2. It was the 16th victory in 23 matches together this season.

Southeastern won three singles matches in straight sets to clinch the victory.
