SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team fell to Arkansas Tech 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-19) on Tuesday in Great American Conference action at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
RECORDS
Harding falls to 9-3 overall and 1-1 in the GAC. Arkansas Tech improves to 7-6 overall and 2-0 in the GAC.
SET ONE HIGHLIGHTS
Harding kept the first set close 11-9 until Arkansas Tech went on a 4-0 run on four straight kills to take a 15-9 lead. The Golden Suns finished the set on a 5-1 run on four kills to win 25-16.
SET TWO HIGHLIGHTS
Arkansas Tech jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the second set and didn't look back as they took the set 25-14. Harding hit .000 in the set with only six kills.
SET THREE HIGHLIGHTS
Harding took an 8-7 lead off a kill by Madison Poen but Arkansas Tech won the next four points on three kills to lead 14-9. The Golden Suns led 22-12 until Harding battled back on a 7-1 run to trail 23-19. Arkansas Tech then got a kill and forced an attack error to win the set 25-19. The Golden Suns forced Harding to hit -.207 in the set and only three kills.
TEAM STATS
The loss snapped a nine match winning streak by Harding.
Harding hit a season-low .058 with a season-low 23 kills.
Arkansas Tech hit .271 with 44 kills.
INDIVIDUAL STATS
The Lady Bisons were led by Emily Clayton who had seven kills. Taylor Lake led the Lady Bisons defense with 12 digs.
Arkansas Tech was led by Lauren Rodemers who had 10 kills. Matti Dix led the defense with 15 digs. Madison Nagel and Hunter Eshnaur each added 10 digs.
