BETHANY, Okla. – Bethany Sutherland converted a penalty kick in the 84th minute to give the Harding women's soccer team a 1-0 victory at Southern Nazarene on Saturday in Great American Conference action.
RECORDS
Harding improves to 5-2-0 on the season and 2-0-0 in the GAC. Southern Nazarene falls to 1-7-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the GAC.
GOALS
Harding 1, Southern Nazarene 0 – 84th minute – Carley Stevens was fouled in the box which setup a penalty kick goal by Bethany Sutherland. It was Harding's first made penalty kick of the season.
TEAM STATS
The win marked the third straight season the Lady Bisons have started conference play 2-0-0.
Harding took 16 shots, seven were on goal.
Southern Nazarene took 10 shots, seven were on goal.
INDIVIDUAL STATS
Sophomore Bethany Sutherland scored her fifth goal of the season to lead the team.
Sutherland led Harding with six shots, four were on goal.
Freshman goalkeeper Jessica Woessner had a season-high seven saves for the Lady Bisons.
Kelsi Bussert took four shots and two were on goal.

Harding will return home to host Northwestern Oklahoma on Thursday at 7 p.m., and then host Southwestern Oklahoma at 11 a.m., on Saturday. Both games will be played at the Stevens Soccer Field.
