Currently in fifth place with only four teams making the Great American Conference Tournament, Harding begins the second half of its GAC schedule against conference leader Oklahoma Baptist. Harding is 3-6-3 overall and 2-3-1 (7 points) in the GAC. Oklahoma Baptist is 10-1-1 overall and 5-0-1 (16 points) in conference games. Oklahoma Baptist won the first meeting between the teams 2-1 in Searcy on Sept. 23. Harding took an early 1-0 lead on a Bethany Sutherland goal in the 12th minute, but Oklahoma Baptist scored twice within five minutes before halftime and held on for the victory.

Undefeated in its first three Great American Conference games, Harding can clinch at least a tie for the regular season conference championship and the right to host the GAC Tournament with a victory over Oklahoma Baptist. Harding is 4-4-2 overall and 3-0-0 (9 points) in conference. Oklahoma Baptist is 4-5-1 overall and 2-1-0 (6 points) in the GAC. Harding won the first meeting between the teams 3-2 in overtime on Sept. 23. Harding trailed 2-1 midway through the second half, but Braeden Grundy scored in the 68th minute to tie the game, and Jeremy Nwonumah scored the game-winner with 45 seconds remaining in the first overtime period.
