KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The third-ranked Harding women's basketball team fell 78-67 Saturday in non-conference action at the Municipal Auditorium.

Harding falls to 0-2 on the season and Concordia-St. Paul improves to 1-1.
FIRST QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS
Concordia-St. Paul took an 11 point lead, 17-6 off a 3-pointer by Ellie Gess. Harding cut into the Golden Bears lead 23-16 when Kellie Lampo hit layup with 10 seconds left. Caroline Hogue had five points for Harding in the quarter. Hanna Vidlund made two 3-pointers and had nine points for Concordia-St. Paul.
SECOND QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS
Concordia- St. Paul held on to its lead in the second quarter and after a 3-pointer and two made free thows the Golden Bears led 35-22. Concordia-St. Paul went on to lead 39-27 at halftime. The Lady Bisons made five shots in the quarter and were 1-of-5 from behind the 3-point line.
THIRD QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS
The Golden Bears extended their lead to 15 (44-29) after a layup by Lindsay Dorr. Harding battled back and cut the lead to eight after a jumper by Caroline Hogue. Concordia-St. Paul then went on an 8-2 run to lead 62-47 at the end of the quarter. Anna Schmitt had eight points for the Golden Bears. Concordia-St. Paul made 4-of-5 3-pointers in the quarter.
FOURTH QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS
Concordia-St. Paul extended its lead to 16 (64-48) with 9:36 left in the game after two made free throws by Danielle Schaub. The Golden Bears kept answering Harding's made baskets the rest of the way. The Lady Bisons went 7-of-17 from the field in the quarter.
TEAM/INDIVIDUAL STATS
Concordia-St. Paul shot 49 percent in the game, making 25-of-51 from the field. The Golden Bears were 11-of-22 from behind the 3-point line.
Harding made 24-of-56 field goals (42.9 percent) and were 3-of-18 from behind the 3-point line.
Each team had 12 points off turnovers.
Harding scored 38 points in the paint and had 32 bench points.
Kennedy Cooper led Harding for the second straight game with 14 points. Caroline Hogue had 13 points and four rebounds. Kellie Lampo had 12 points, making 8-of-9 from the field.

Harding will play its home opener Tuesday when it hosts Missouri Southern at 5:30 p.m., at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
