No. 39 Harding Men's Tennis Falls to No. 29 Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Senior Brandon Hogland won his singles match at No. 6 in a third-set super-tiebreaker, but it was No. 39 Harding's lone match win in an 8-1 loss to No. 29 Ouachita Baptist on Saturday. The match was the first of two between the teams this season and was not a Great American Conference match.

Harding went 1-2 in its three matches this weekend in Arkadelphia and exits the weekend 4-3 overall. Ouachita Baptist won two of its three matches and improved to 2-4 overall.

With his win, Hogland became the second Bison to earn 10 singles victories during the 2016-17 season. He is 10-8 overall and 3-4 in dual matches. Seven of Hogland's 18 singles matches this season have gone three sets. He is 3-4 in those matches.

Ouachita Baptist swept the doubles and won five of the six singles matches in straight sets.

Harding's next match is also its first home match. The Bisons will host Arkansas-Fort Smith on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m.
