WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The 23rd-ranked Harding softball team split with Southwestern Oklahoma on Friday in Great American Conference action. The Lady Bulldogs took game one 5-4 in eight innings and Harding won game two 6-4 in eight innings.
The Lady Bisons move to 9-3 on the season and 1-1 in GAC play. Southwestern Oklahoma moves to 7-5 overall and 1-1 in the GAC.
Game One Key Innings (Southwestern Okla. 5, #23 Harding 4 – 8 innings)
- Southwestern Oklahoma made it a 2-0 game in the fourth on RBI singles by Samantha Householder and Tori Hawk.
- The Lady Bulldogs got another run in the fifth when Paige Bowler scored on a ground out.
- With the bases loaded in the sixth, Harding took a 4-3 lead when Autumn Humes hit a grand-slam down the right field line. It was her second home run of the season.
- Southwestern Oklahoma tied it up in the bottom of the seventh when Samantha Householder singled through the left side to score Morgan Swisher.
- With the bases loaded in the eighth, the Lady Bulldogs scored the winning run off a Harding fielding error.

- Southwestern Oklahoma had 10 hits in the game, led by Householder who had two.
- Harding had eight hits with Autumn Humes going 3-for-4 with four RBI.
- Miranda Grover got the win for Southwestern Oklahoma, she pitched three innings of relief, gave up one hit and had one strike out.
- Harding starting pitcher Hannah Johnson received the loss and falls to 5-1 on the season. She pitched 3 2/3 innings, gave up three hits and three runs.
Game Two Key Innings (#23 Harding 6, Southwestern Okla. 4)
- Harding got on the board first in the second when Autumn Humes hit a lead-off home run to left center field. It was her third of the season.
- Harding made it a 3-0 game in the sixth when Madi Trump hit a double to left center that scored Kimberly Slaughter and Amanda Berdon.
- The Lady Bisons took a 4-0 lead in the seventh when Autumn Humes singled down the right field line that scored Peyton Mills from second.
- Southwestern Oklahoma tied the game in the seventh scoring four runs on four hits. Kaytlin Donaldson singled to score two runs and Paige Bowler hit a double to score two.
- Harding got two go-ahead runs in the eighth when Courtney Derrick hit a sacrifice fly to center and Lindsey Duncan scored on a wild pitch.
Game Two Key Statistics
- Harding had two hits in the game, led by Peyton Mills who went 3-for-4.
- Kaytlin Donaldson went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Southwestern Oklahoma.
- Hannah Johnson got the win for Harding to improve to 6-1 on the season. She pitched 1 2/3 innings. Autumn Humes started the game for Harding, pitching 6 1/3 innings. She gave up nine hits and struck out eight.
- Taylor Eaves got the loss for Southwestern Oklahoma. She falls to 0-4 on the season.
