Harding Men's Tennis Upended by Nebraska-Kearney in Battle of Nationally-Ranked Teams

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The 38th-ranked Harding men's tennis team suffered close losses in all three doubles matches and did not recover in singles, falling 9-0 to 21st-ranked Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday in a neutral site, Central Region matchup at Cooper Tennis Center.

Harding won five or more games in each of the three doubles matches, but Nebraska-Kearney of the MIAA closed out all three matches.

Nebraska-Kearney won four of the singles matches in straight sets, benefited from one Harding retirement and won the sixth singles match in a third-set tiebreaker.

Harding will return to action Sunday at noon when it plays 35th-ranked Drury.
