SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team tied No. 9 Texas A&M-Commerce 1-1 after double-overtime Friday in non-conference action. The Lady Bisons move to 0-3-2 on the season.
Texas A&M-Commerce moves to 3-0-2.
It was the second time since the program began in 2000 that the Lady Bisons have tied a ranked opponent. The last tie was against Southwest Baptist who was ranked No. 17, 1-1 in 2005.
GOALS
Harding 1, Texas A&M-Commerce – Melanie Matkins found Amelia Grizzell at the top of the box who left footed the ball to the lower right corner. It was her first goal of the season.
Texas A&M-Commerce 1, Harding 1 – Sophie Haywood converted a penalty kick for the Lions. It was her third goal of the season.

Texas A&M-Commerce had 34 shots in the game, 17 were on goal.
Harding took 14 shots and five were on goal.
Sophie Haywood took 11 shots, six were on goal for Texas A&M-Commerce.
The Lady Bisons were led by Melanie Matkins who took four shots.
Bethany Sutherland and Mattilyn Reeder played the full 110 minutes for Harding.
Anna Claire Lewis and Jessica Woessner shared goalie responsibilities for Harding. They combined for 15 saves.
