BETHANY, Okla. – Southern Nazarene scored nine straight points over a three-minute stretch of the first half to open a close game and pull away from Harding 89-67 Thursday in Great American Conference action at the Sawyer Center.
Reggie Anthony's layup with 9:02 left in the first half cut Southern Nazarene's lead to 19-18. The Crimson Storm followed that with a 9-0 run that was part of a 15-2 burst that gave Southern Nazarene a 34-20 advantage.
Southern Nazarene led by 10 or more the rest of the way pushed the lead as high as 25 points at the 1:04 mark.
The Crimson Storm (9-1, 6-0) remained undefeated in GAC play, winning its eighth straight at home dating to last season. Harding (0-10, 0-5) is back in action Saturday at Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee.

Zac Ward made four 3-pointers for the Bisons in the second half and led Harding with xx points, tying his career high.
Filip Medjo had a season-high 10 points, all coming in the first half.
Southern Nazarene had five players in double figures, led by sophomore guard Micah Speight with 16 points. Speight also had eight assists and three steals.
Southern Nazarene shot 60 percent, the highest shooting effort by a Harding opponent this season.
The Crimson Storm outscored the Bisons 38-24 in the paint.
