Arkansas State Defeats Harding Men's Basketball 87-62 in Saturday Exhibition

JONESBORO, Ark. – Harding made 10 3-pointers Saturday in an 87-62 exhibition loss to NCAA Division I opponent Arkansas State at First National Bank Arena. The game counted as a regular-season game for Arkansas State but as an exhibition for Harding.

Harding is 5-4 overall and plays its final game of 2018 on Monday in a nonconference home game against Christian Brothers.

Harding led Arkansas State 21-14 on a Gabriel Divic 3-pointer with 9:55 left in the first half, but the Bisons did not have a field goal in the last four minutes of the first half. Arkansas State took advantage of the drought, outscoring Harding 15-2 over that stretch to take a 44-32 lead at halftime.

Harding's Adam Horn opened the second half with a layup, but Arkansas State went on a 12-0 run to pull away. The Red Wolves led 56-34 with 14:21 left and held at least a 19-point lead the rest of the way.

Divic and Horn led Harding with 13 points each and both made three 3-pointers. Colin Hale also made three 3-pointers and scored 11.

Marquis Eaton was 5-of-6 from 3-point range and led Arkansas State (6-7) with 23 points.
