Nebraska-Kearney Defeats Harding 6-3 in Men's Tennis; Crisostomo Wins in Straight Sets

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Harding men's tennis concluded its two-match trip to Missouri Saturday with a 6-3 loss to Nebraska-Kearney.

The loss dropped the Bisons, ranked seventh in the NCAA II Central Region, to 3-3. Nebraska-Kearney, ranked sixth, improved to 5-1.

Harding's No. 1 team of Morgan Salvan and Alejandro Sendra continued its outstanding run to start the season by winning its fifth consecutive match. The duo defeated Sri Aakash Reddiyar and Pepe Balado 8-6.

In singles action, Carlos Crisostomo, the 44th-ranked singles player in Division II, won in straight sets over Reddiyar to improve to 7-6 overall and 4-2 in dual matches at No. 1.

Salvan also continued his recent roll by winning a third-set tiebreaker at No. 5. He defeated Alberto Diaz 4-6, 7-6, 10-2 for his sixth consecutive singles victory. Salvan is 14-2 in singles matches this season.

Harding's next match is Thursday in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. The Bisons will take on 14th-ranked Southwestern Baptist. Friday Harding will play Mississippi College in Arkadelphia.
