Harding Men's Tennis Wins First Dual, Blanks Texas Wesleyan 9-0

DALLAS – Harding men's tennis picked up its first dual match victory of the spring with a 9-0 victory over NAIA opponent Texas Wesleyan Saturday at Bent Tree Country Club.

Harding improved to 1-1 overall and plays the final match of its three-match road trip Sunday against Collin College.

The match was the first in program history for Texas Wesleyan.

Harding swept the three doubles matches, losing only six games in the process. Harding's No. 3 team of Adria Abella and Pablo Trevino won with an 8-0 shutout.

Abella then earned Harding's first single point with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4. Morgan Salvan clinched the match for Harding with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5.

Harding lost only one set in singles play, but Carlos Crisostomo overall and loss in the first set to win 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 at No. 1.
